Ansmann range of portable rechargeable lamps provides improved visibility for range of industrial applications
RS Components (RS), the trading brand of Electrocomponents plc (LSE:ECM), the global distributor for engineers, has added three new work and inspection lights from Ansmann to its maintenance portfolio. Available exclusively via RS for business customers, the lamps are ideal for industrial applications in fields such as automotive, transportation and site work.
These professional lamps feature the latest LED technology and come with a built-in Li-ion battery pack, which can be re-charged within a few hours via the included USB mains power supply (100V-240V) or via other USB power sources such as PCs, laptops or power banks. All the units are robust, being shockproof to a drop height of 1m, and have an IPX4-rated splash-proof housing and a rubberised grip/surface.
The Ansmann WL2 and WL4 are marketed as ‘working lights’ and come with integrated magnets that allow them to be securely fixed to metal surfaces, such as a car body. The WL2 unit is provided with a flexible range of fixing and positioning options via its 340° rotatable handle, a 360° rotatable hook on the back of the housing, a hanging clip on the base, as well as a heavy-duty integrated magnet on its base for secure fixing. Offering a charging time of around 4.5 hours via its 3.7V/1550mAh battery pack with safety board and charging status LED, the unit delivers a brightness of 220 lumens at full power, and operating times of approximately 4.5 and 10 hours from its two available respective power settings of 100% and 50%.
The WL4 light features a 100-lumen 1.5W spotlight on top of the housing. Positioning is provided by the base, which is 180° rotatable in eight steps with lockable lamp handle, as well as via two 360° rotatable hooks that ensure flexible hanging options, plus a trio of magnets that enable secure fixing. The 3.7V/2600mAh battery with safety board and charge-status LEDs enables a charging time of approximately four hours. The unit provides 385 lumens at full power and operating times of approximately 4 hours for the main lamp, and 11 hours for the spotlight.
A third unit, the IL2 inspection light, has an ergonomic grip for easy operation and a pocket clip with two built-in magnets, as well as a rubber covered charging socket. The IL2 offers a 100-lumen spotlight at the top of the unit and a 200-lumen main lamp. The 3.7V/1100mAh battery enables charging within three hours and operating times of approximately 3.5 hours for the main lamp and five hours for the spotlight.
The Ansmann WL2, WL4 and IL2 lights are available now, strengthening the existing comprehensive range that RS stocks and providing lighting solutions to help address countless needs across industries including plant maintenance
